Back to School Night at Hawes is this coming Thursday, September 25, 2025, starting at 6:00 pm . We hope to see all of our families. This is an adult only event.
Photo Day at Hawes is next Wednesday , September 24th, 2025.
There are no forms to hand in, or pre payment required. Just send your children to school looking their best. Every child at school will be photographed that day, and families will be contacted a few days later via e-mail with a link to a digital gallery so you can shop if interested.

Reminder: Doremus Ave will be closed to southbound traffic at Ackerman Ave from 7AM - 4PM. Police will allow cars and buses through to Orchard School, but traffic may be affected. Please allow extra time.
The final phase of Ridgewood Water's project to increase water flow to a low-pressure area will begin on Friday, June 27. A concrete vault to house the new booster pumps on Glen Avenue will be installed on Friday between 12:00 am and 10:00 am.
For the majority of this time, one lane (eastbound) will be open on Glen Avenue between Upper Boulevard and Oak Street. Both lanes will be closed to traffic between 6:00 am and 8:00 am. Detours will be in place, and police officers will be on site to assist drivers. We appreciate your patience as Ridgewood Water undertakes this important work.
Registration for the 2025-2026 AlphaBEST Before and After School Care Program for grades PreK-5 begins Tuesday, June 24th at 9:00 a.m.

This is a good time to remind your children to check our Lost and Found area for any items they may be missing. Any items not claimed by the last day of school will be donated and may not be retrieved.
Please take a moment to check backpacks, under beds, and any cozy reading nooks for any library books your child may have borrowed. Returning all books by this Friday, June 13 helps us prepare for an exciting new year of reading adventures.

Ben & Jerry's Scooper Night 2025 is tonight, Wednesday, May 14, from 4-7 pm, rain or shine.
Come for the treats, stay for the fun! A portion of the proceeds will benefit our HSA.

The Hawes HSA presents its much anticipated annual fundraiser, Ladies Night Out 2025. This year's event will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at The Terrace, in Paramus , NJ. Tickets are available through our school store, and if you purchase yours before April 23, 2025, you get a free sheet of pink raffle tickets.

The HSA is holding a Plant Sale Fundraiser Please order your plants by April 12, 2025 through our School Store, for pick up at Hawes on May 12, 2025.
